Translated Test Instructions for Use with LEP Students on
2014 PSAE Day 2 Tests

IMPORTANT: For the 2014 PSAE Day 2, the only students who may have translated instructions read to them are students who are limited English proficient (LEP) and are using accommodations testing materials (Form 31401). These instructions may be read to examinees by a test administrator qualified to act in this role (being proficient in English is a qualification) or may be provided to students for them to read themselves.

Students needing translated instructions in the same language may be tested in the same room as long as all requirements for testing students in the same room are followed.

In addition to the translated directions, the test administrator will need a copy of the 2014 PSAE Day 2 Supervisor’s Manual of Instructions. This is provided online and in the Day 2 secure test materials shipment sent to the Test Accommodations Coordinator.  All test administration guidelines and procedures must be followed exactly.

All files are posted in .pdf format, which requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to access. If you do not already have this program installed on your computer, you will need to go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html and follow the instructions, or use a computer that already has Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Click on the appropriate file above to open and print the translated instructions. You may make copies as needed. All materials printed from this website must be destroyed locally after testing is completed.

If you have any questions about accessing these materials, please write to psae@isbe.net or call 866.317.6034, prior to the test administration.
